On every reboot the machine connects to the server checking for software updates, delivering log files and so on. It uses SOAP over HTTP to connect to the server. Now the problem is, while developing the terminal-software nobody told us, that the terminal will sometimes stand behind a proxy. And now we have to change the system so it will work together with a proxy. Has someone an Idea how I can tell SOAP to use the proxy when sending requests? Is there some pice of software something like a wrapper that will transport the SOAP requests over the proxy? Someone told me i should install transparent proxy on the terminal, which i've already tried, but none of them supported the option that he is also behind a proxy. Would it help to install a router on the terminal which supports a proxy? Can you recommend a router/transparent proxy which supports this option? Has someone a good idea? Thanks very much!
