Hello all... I've been gone a little while, it's good to be back :) my question isn't really that far off topic (or maybe it is :), but i didn't want to upset anyone, so i put the "OT" in the subject line... well, here it goes: i use personal web server for windows '98 at home. i have perl, php, jrun, and cold fusion all installed on it, and miraculously, they all work fine (i do a lot of development work at home)... however, there is one thing that i would love to be able to do at home that i can't seem to figure out, and i know it must be possible. i can't install isapi filters. i know your asking yourself "how is this not off topic"? well, i was actually hoping that one of the activestate people would see this email and give a reply... because as i understand it, the installation process of perl must install some type of filter on a web server in order for the web server to know what to do with requests made for ".pl" files. and like i said, perl works on my machine. again, i apologize for asking here... it's kind of a last resort. i've pored over technet articles for hours and asked on both the iis and pws microsoft newsgroups and have found no solution. thanks for listening, ed p.s. i can get isapi extensions to work... they're not the problem. i can't get filters to work (or more correctly stated: i don't know how to install them). i read the ms documentation on installing filters on iis for versions before the nice mmc interface (the registry edit), but that key wasn't even in my registry (and there should be filters installed on my system... perl, coldfusion, jrun...) --- You are currently subscribed to perl-win32-web as: [[email protected]] To unsubscribe, forward this message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For non-automated Mailing List support, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
