Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

The behaviour is the same with Perl 5.8.0/Same OS [FreeBSD 4.x] but
since it is obvious I have failed to understand that $SIG{__WARN__} is
solely to suppress the display of warnings, the mistakes in the code may
be the cause of this suprising (to me anyway) failure to replace the
op-code tree when the code is re-eval'd.

Yours sincerely.

'...No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the
continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a
manor of thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes
me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know
for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee...'
