You're right about Win32, btw. I guess Win32's realloc() has a greater propensity for moving the memory than other OS's realloc(), which could be one reason why (as I've found in the past) it's so much slower than on other OS's. - Steve ------------------------------------------------ Radan Computational Ltd.
