Hi, Does anyone know of any software for converting MARC21 records into ISIS format? Since both of them are encoded in ISO 2709 it should not be very difficult.
I had used the CCF converter (http://library.wur.nl/isis/software.html) for this purpose. Though this tool allows conversion of ISO2709 records into ISIS format, it does not remove the indicators. I tried removing the indicators using MARC::Batch, but it gives error. At the outset, I feel it would have been great if MARC::Batch could export MARC records into ISIS format. Since large number of libraries in developing countries still use CDS/ISIS database, this conversion utility in MARC::Batch would be an useful utility.
