toke.c: Macros for saving and restoring buffer pointers
This code is repeated in several places, making it difficult
to maintain.
XXX This patch does not work yet, but causes strange failures. Iâm
wondering whether it is worth doing this, as this attempt at simplify-
ing things actually seems to make things more complicated instead.
Comments welcome. (Do they?)
