As far as I can tell, copying the code for a function signature or name is
fine because it doesn't contain executable code. The function signatures are
put into POD comments, making this even less questionable. I see no problem
with this approach and heartily thank Francois for implementing it.
It'd be a good idea to start a series of wiki pages for each set of functions
to keep track of what's been done (i.e. implementation, testing). Such a wiki
page will make the project much more approachable once we start implementing
these functions.
