Time was, there were variations of cores and such matching
/_b[01]p[01]t[01]$/
Where 'b' stood for bounds-checking, 'p' stood for profiling, and
't' stood for tracing.
Things have been collapsed by Simon into a fast core and a slow core,
with various conditional blocks in the slow core and none of them in the
fast core. Its likely you are seeing vestiges of the old world beast.
