Some's done now. Look at the miniperl in the source tree.

I'd consider things ready to go in earnest once aggregate support's
done. That'll get us symbol tables and scratchpads, two things we
need do do serious work. (Well, IMHO, but you can do a lot even
without them. It's just more of a pain)
