I have put in throwing a real_exception for readline (only). So the first part succeeds here, the rest is skipped. Doing all this error handling stuff is for sure too much for 0.0.11. We IMHO need exception objects (Dan ;) properly classified in some hierarchy (e.g. that one of Pie-thon). leo
