As Larry said, "self-contained" is good for users. For developers (and CVS) "go get the libs" is appropriate. A script can assemble the user distribution(s) with pre-defined versions of the libs to include. - ask -- ask bjoern hansen, http://www.askbjoernhansen.com/ !try; do();
