RFC 254 "Class Collections" was presented on 17 Sept proposing a
mechanism to extend classes. To date, only three people have said
anything on the subject:

Schwern said, "The DBI has this very problem!" While agreeing that
the problem exists, Schwern didn't directly endorse or denounce the
RFC (as far as I can tell).

Nathan Wiger brainstormed a bit on implementing the functionality using
a "combination of @ISA, SUPER::, NEXT::, and use delegation." He
also suggested a syntax for declaring inheritence as suggested by the
RFC.

Damian Conway said, "I feel that this proposal is solving the wrong
problem." Unfortunately he could not elaborate and debate the issue
as much as I would have liked due to the RFC deadlines .

Since there has not been much in the way of opinions made for this
RFC (with Damian being the notable exception), I am at a loss of what
to do. Has anybody else experienced this problem (as detailed in the
RFC)? Does anybody else have an opinion on the proposal the RFC
makes? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Greg
