1. What does it look like? I've never used a cent sign, and have seen
several.

2. How can it be typed with X character composition, vim's digraphs and
major international keyboards?

3. What is the ASCII equivalent?

4. Why not ^, which is available?

5. Why is the sigil needed? Pairs do well without, too.
