Hi Moshe, I think we discussed this on the previous Tel Aviv Perl Mongers meeting and I won't be on the next one so let me take this up in this thread. As you volunteer for Ubuntu and you are interested in Perl there is something involving both that could be of great help and that does not need a lot of programming knowledge. If at all. It would be awesome to help out packaging and redistributing more Perl Modules and Applications in Ubuntu. The way it is done is that the Perl Modules and Applications are packaged for Debian and then pulled over to Ubuntu. There is a team of people in Debian dedicated to packaging perl modules. I am sure they will be happy to help you get started. http://pkg-perl.alioth.debian.org/ If you are interested which modules to package then, there too I have a few suggestions. For a start, I'd love to see the following plugins of Padre packaged: > Catalyst > JavaScript > Kate > PAR > Perl6 > PerlCritic The mailing list of the Padre developers can be found here: http://mail.perlide.org/mailman/listinfo/padre-dev http://padre.perlide.org/ regards Gabor http://szabgab.com/ _______________________________________________ Perl mailing list Perl@perl.org.il http://mail.perl.org.il/mailman/listinfo/perl
