Hi All.

There is one YAPC that is not like the others. All the YAPCs are scheduled
to the middle of the week, while the one in Tokyo happens on the weekend.

I've come to realize that this fact cast a huge difference in the
conference nature. On other YAPCs people come to learn, while in Tokyo
people come to... socialize? entertain themselves? hear success story?

So if I want to give a good talk @ Tokyo, I better make a light talk, more
of the lines "we used this to succeeded", and less "this is how you use
this".

I think.

Other examples for conference in weekdays and weekend: TED and TEDx.
Anything else?

Shmuel.
