Hmm... as far as I know, I have the latest version of pgplot, 5.2.  I
downloaded it fresh from the caltech site
(http://www.astro.caltech.edu/~tjp/pgplot/).  pgarro also seems to be
the first routine on the list, so I think that just means that it's
not loading at all.

In response to Derek's comments -
I'll try checking all those things.  However, I created a new problem
for myself in my attempts to fix the problem; I tried to reinstall
pgplot, and now it fails completely - the demos don't even work.  I'll
post again when I've figured out what I did wrong.
