Hi all, I'm trying to read a char variable in a netcdf file (I'm using PDL::NetCDF and PDL::Char). I have created this file and this variable without any problem. BUT, when I try to read it, getvariabletype returns a "byte" type... How can I detect that this "byte" is actually a "char" if I suppose that I do not know beforehand the type of the variable I'm currently reading... thanks, Bruno --
