Perhaps it should instead be attributed to the operating system itself ... or to plplot (which, iirc, was your main stumbling block). In any case, I'm probably making a somewhat moot point, as it will be *deemed* to be the responsibility of the PDL developers to fix the situation. I said "pretty much agree with all of that" because I *do* wonder whether it was in fact all that difficult for Ilya, or whether it's just that he tried to install PDL on a day when his energy levels weren't particularly high.
