Hi guys,

I was working on the reduced-size icons that Chris suggested and I
noticed that C1 looks *really* *good* in reduced size. Look:

I have a proposal. Let us select *two* logos:

1) One "core" logo that is *simple* and looks good in a very small
size. I propose C1 for that. This is the "core identity".

2) One larger logo, *derived* from the core logo, suitable for when
you have more space, like a banner at YAPC. For example, logos AM and
AN are derived from C1. We can come up with other examples - e.g. you
could combine C1 with H, K, Y, AO and AP.

This sort of dual-logo solution has been used before. For example,
Gmail uses the letter "m" shaped like an envelope as the small logo
(e.g. as a favicon) and uses the whole word "Gmail" when it has more
room (e.g. as the page header).

What do you think?

Daniel.
