Heh, wouldn't it be funny if they weren't being called at all. (Probly a silly thing to say. I haven't looked at that aspect at all.)

'at_c' used to be the C code routine that was called by the perl 'at' routine. I used it directly sometimes in an attempt to speed up 'at' calls. It looks like it may have been replaced by 'at_bad_c', though.
