Hi Mark. Yes to install anything on Ubuntu you must use the `sudo apt-get
install` if installing from the command line. Both Synaptic and Software Center
will request your admin password if you do it from the gui.

Subject: [Perldl] PDL not building on Ubuntu ...

I usually build PDL on Ubuntu , using "the latest version of PDL"
option, at the http://pdl.perl.org webpage ..
recently last night I tried to build it and I found all "apt-get
Install " functions were not working ??? I wonder does that
have to do with choosing [sudo] as method of installation
instead of [local::lib], which I doubt ,

Yet the command line was saying that it could not find those links no more
I wonder if someone can confirm this for me ...

Cheers

-Mark
