Please reconsider. We've discussed a number of less ways that would keep PDL::FFTW3 working (some admittedly less than optimal) rather than breaking for PDL users on 32bit boxes. If one is in a situation where forced upgrade of a large dependency distribution is not an option, even a rebuild the plan every time fix if documented on how to use it is still preferable. > and requiring a particular minimum version of PDL isn't really that > onerous; most packages do that already. This approach is what keeps "most packages" from continuing to "just work" over time. It takes effort to keep PDL usable. A similar type of effort to that of Debian or any major distribution and why they have multiple versions of their platforms and packages for support. --Chris _______________________________________________ Perldl mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.jach.hawaii.edu/mailman/listinfo/perldl
