The perlfaq manpage gives copyright, authorship, and redistribution
conditions ; and your editor can probably help you with all legal
matters (it's his job.) Moreover, quotes are usually considered "fair
use" and are not subject to copyright licencing unless otherwise stated
(in France, for example, the limit for quotes is fifteen lines, for
historical reasons -- a sonnet and its title, IIRC, but don't quote me
on that :) -- after that amount you may have to conctact the copyright
holders.)
