To Ahmad Syamil, Dhini B. and the whole of Permias,
For over 15 years Vita Bahari, Inc. has shipped the personal effects of
student such as yourselves to Indonesia. We have attempted to provide the
best service possible to all of our clients. Saying this, though we are
saddened that this situation was brought to Permias we will explain the
problems of this shipment to you.
>From the beginning of May through June our offices were in transition as we
moved from our New York location to our new offices in Northern VA. The
shipment in question was sent by container during this period. The problems
arrived when our shipping agents sent the original paper work for this
shipment by courier to our original NY address. All letters, bills and
packages sent to us by US Mail during this period was forwarded to our new
location, however some of the couriered packages were delivered to our old
address. Unfortunately the needed paperwork’s for this shipment were
delivered to our now vacant office and was not forwarded to our new mailing
address like the rest of our mail had been. Since we did not receive this
paperwork in a timely manner the container was now delayed at the port. We
have requested that new paperwork be sent immediately to correct this
problem. We had 2 other containers that were delayed for the same reason and
they have since been cleared. This last container will be corrected
immediately.
The problems with communications between our agents and ourselves stem from
the changing to the new phone systems and have now been cleared.
Please know that as always Vita Bahari, Inc. will continue to provide the
best service we possibly can. We apologize for any inconvenience that may
have stemmed from the delay.
Sincerely,
The Staff of Vita Bahari, Inc.
