Bisa2x, ujungnya nanti menjadi debat agama,
dan menjadi sangat tidak sehat. Nggak ada gunanya sih kita
melihat kejelekan bangsa lain, baik Israel, Amerika, atau
Palestina. Bangsa kita sendiri aja nggak kebagusan kok...
sang reporter menyertakan "nama asli" sang pelaku. Pernahkah
hal yg sama terjadi buat para pemenang emas olimpiade..??
menghasut pengikutnya agar membenci yg beragama lain..??
Jangan bertanya mengenai situasi sekolah negri di Indonesia. Yg
batak bergaul dengan batak, jawa dgn jawa, irian dgn irian, dll, dll.
Dalam hati kecil, saya juga setuju kalau Jewish people sometimes
overacting. Tapi compare dgn kejadian2x dinegara kita, kayanya
nggak pantas kalau kita start judging others. Fix our problem
first, before pointing fingers to others. There is no point of
pointing "a few" incidents in history to support the argument.
Others can easily find another "few" confronting incidents to
oppose the same argument. Then the cycle never ends.
I think so far US has been a safe haven for all of us, no matter
background, race, religion and affiliation. And I like to see it
that way. If that means that I have to live in unperfect haven,
so be it. It is so much better than living in any other parts
of the world, wouldn't you agree..??
Let there be peace upon earth,
and sanctuary for those who
need it,
tj
FYI: A very interesting article

Racism, bigotry bad for all
Charley Reese
Commentary
Published in The Orlando Sentinel on October 24, 2000
In these politically correct days, all of us are supposed to refrain from
being racist bigots, right? Then how come so many Americans believe that
it's OK to be a racist bigot when it comes to Arabs and Muslims?
