Sponsored by UCLA Biomedical Engineering Society This symposium is a great opportunity for students to present their research and get recognition from Biomedical Engineering Societies across Southern California. Students will showcase their work with either a short oral presentation or a poster with the topic open to any area in the field of Biomedical Engineering. With this symposium we hope to encourage interaction among students, faculties and industries in Greater Southern California. In addition, keynote speakers from engineering, medicine, and industry will share their vision and knowledge about Biomedical Engineering. Students will also have the chance to meet representatives from biotech companies that will be present. Awards for best oral and poster presentation will be given to commemorate the event. Symposium date: Friday, January 18, 2002. Abstract deadline: Thursday, November 15, 2001. Registration deadline: Saturday December 15, 2001.
