On Tuesday, 8/16/2005 from 5-7:00 AM we plan to upgrade Listserv from 1.8e
to version 14.4. The large difference in version numbers does not mean we
skipped major releases, but rather reflect a new numbering scheme. Most
changes are security related and should be invisible to you and your
users.
This upgrade requires an outage of both listserv and much of the email on
the SU campus. Mail will be delayed during the outage, and after service
resumes it may take some time for systems to work through the backlog. No
mail will be lost.

http://www.lsoft.com/resources/manuals.asp. The 14.3 and 14.4 release
notes document everything new since 1.8e (we skipped 14.3 because 14.4
came out while ! we were evaluating 14.3).
