Now on to a few suggestions...that's all they are...things to ponder...;^)

...First, I took the liberty of setting up a mail list for you...pretty much just like the VFB List. All postings go to all swappers. The address for the list is <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. If you choose to use it, just send me the email addresses of all the swappers and I will subscribe them.

...I like the idea of dividing into smaller groupings, but have some questions. You mentioned four groups, so assuming the first group consists of the first 15 folks, after the fly box gets to the 15th person does he send it back to the first person in that group or to the first person in the next group? I would like to see the latter so that eventually everyone gets a look at all four boxes. Basically just having four starting positions in the whole list of 63.

...I suggest arranging the names in the list geographically. So if someone is in California and another in Oregon, they should be adjacent on the list. It takes considerably longer to mail something from CA to CT than from CA to OR.

...On to the postal system...Priority Mail and First Class Mail are one in the same. So sending a package weighing less than 13 ounces via Priority Mail is basically just making a donation to the Post Office. Priority and First Class are treated the same...shipped the same and will arrive at their destination at the same time. Another donation to the Post Office is insurance. The cost of insuring the package for $300 is $4.20, so by the time the package has made it around the field of 63 one time, a total of $264 will have been spent on insurance. Now multiply that by 4 packages and one complete round has made the Post Office $1,056 richer...;^) Now, in the unlikely event of a missing package the act of actually collecting any monies from the PO is difficult. You must have proof of value...ie a receipt of purchase. The amount of paperwork to fill out and time to claim determination is absurd.

...If you decide to utilize the mail list that I set up, I suggest you encourage the swappers to post to it when they receive the fly boxes. That way a certain amount of enthusiasm is maintained.

Neat idea John...and certainly well received. I'll tie up dozen this weekend and get them off to you next week. That way you can put an equal number in each box.

keep tyin'...byard
