When you are in the line of standardizing a language which prides itself
on its ambiguities/flexibilities you're asking for trouble!
But hey, cheer up! Remember last month when I asked on this list for
screen shots? I got donations from literally every corner of the world,
most notably from linux users who stood to lose some face in my [M$
advertisement.] Anyhow painful as it was, that was really great and I
think everyone learned a lot.

BTW, one of the silent lurkers just called it to my attention that the
magazine "Gol Aaghaa" sometime in the past year got a little "letter to
the editor" from the Academy asking them to stop using "heh+hamzeh" when
saying for example "shomaareh-ye makhsus" and to please use the new,
improved substitute. Do you know anything about this? Like, which issue
contains this letter?? I've got all the issues from the past 2 years here
next to me but can't find it. I see that indeed they have "shomaareh-ye
yekom, dovvom", etc always with "heh+hamzeh" until #539 = 29 Farvardin
1381 whereafter the "hamzeh" has been dropped and it only says "shomaareh
yekom, dovvom", etc (no "heh+hamzeh" but no "heh+substitute"!!) after
that. Apparently in the letter itself when they were saying to stop using
"heh+hamzeh", they used "heh+hamzeh" themselves :)
If you have heard of this, please tell me which issue, which page and the
x,y coords of said letter so I can find it and put in my arsenal!
