In your mailing list I faced to exchanging answer and reply on A question About Farsi Data Entry .
and this answer "In terms of not being able to do ALT SHIFT to type Farsi in Windows 98, isn't it a matter of Unicode support in '98 v. 2000? I think you will need to enable
the language package in 98 for Farsi, if possible.
In terms of incorporating the Farsi capabilities in VB.NET, I am not sure what
the VB.NET can offer. However, I know several sites use IE 5.5+ along with ASP
and Javascript to allow Frasi data entry within the application. I believe most
website that have Farsi search capabilities are utilizing the above. As far as
searching the database, if you use MS SQL or Access, you must save everything
as Unicode and retrieve them as Unicode also. I can share some code examples if
anyone is interested.
Please keep in mind that I am not an expert by any means, and these are just based on my own experience. I am sure others on this list will have more in depth insight on the subject matter.
