Our Patched Pango is a black-box. And I think it's enough.

But about feeding the patches:
We try hard to feed the patches (You can search GNOME bugzilla for
Soheil Hassas Yeganeh). BUT
Owen Taylor is a very oveloaded person. These are some of the consequences.
1- Weak Maintenance of code and Slow Improvment pace (Owen can work at
most 24 hours daily)
2- Undocumented Architecture and Design Concepts for Integrity Checking
of the patches (Reasonable, because maintenance of documentations is
much harder than maintenance of code)
It's time for Owen to hand over Pango to another person (like Noah, or ...).
