I'm still getting segfaults from time to time ( as i have noted before).
Now I have compiled apache 2.0.55 and using only php4 as module and it
still segfaults sometimes (the php4 server has quite low load, so more
requests....more segfaults). I suspected that it's a problem with
peruser+fcgi but now i have just plain apache+mod_php (v4.4.4) and still
problems.
The thing is that i can't reproduce the segfaults on my own. I have
tried sending couple million requests on peruser with concurrency of 10
to 100. Also lifted MaxProcessors to 300 and benched another million
with concurrency of 300 and it really works. Server-status show ~300
requests/s being served and apache is still very responsive. No
problems. No segfaults. Not even one.
Could it be that someone sends really broken requests, which messes
something up?
few questions to help me to debug the situation:
1) How you guys use peruser: is it straight or do you use Pound or
something else in front of peruser (as Sean does)?
2) What to make of a message "Long lost child came home" . What does it
mean?
I really hope i haven't bored to death you guys with all my questions
and problems....
Janno
