Hi,

 I´ve been using peruser since the last month on a busy server with 700 virtual
hosts.
 Sometimes it seems that apache stops to respond, even a daily restart does not
help.

 I added some lines to the code to help debbuging when apaches locks up and the
problem is
 the ap_wait_timeout function:

 [Thu Sep 27 15:02:13 2007] [warn] (peruser: pid=12496 uid=0 child=0)
ap_mpm_run(): Before ap_wait_or_timeout
 [Thu Sep 27 15:02:13 2007] [warn] (peruser: pid=12496 uid=0 child=0)
ap_mpm_run(): After ap_wait_or_timeout
 [Thu Sep 27 15:02:14 2007] [warn] (peruser: pid=12496 uid=0 child=0)
ap_mpm_run(): Before ap_wait_or_timeout
 [Thu Sep 27 15:02:14 2007] [warn] (peruser: pid=12496 uid=0 child=0)
ap_mpm_run(): After ap_wait_or_timeout

 there are many lines like these. The restart solves the problem.

 I´m going to investigate more because this is not a peruser specific function,
but does anybody know a possible cause?

 Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

 Alex.
