Hi Crista You are right to question their identity. Although they are superficially similar to *Anthrenus verbasci* (Varied Carpet Beetle), these are *Anthrenus coloratus* (Asian Carpet Beetle). The scales on the back are much broader than those of *verbasci*. Like *A. verbasci* they like to feed on dried insects, but will attack other organic materials. It's worth checking vulnerable material in the storeroom and adjacent voids to pinpoint where they are breeding. Tony
