That is a species of scarab beetle, completely harmless to collections, stored
food products, etc.,..You don't mention where the traps are set.

Subject: [pestlist] Unidentified bug

Good afternoon, all,

I’ve come across this bug quite a bit on traps lately but am struggling to
identify it. It’s red-brown in color and about 1 cm long. Is this a museum
bug, or just a seasonal bug?

Thank you for your time and input!

Best,

Katherine Fecteau
