Angelica, That’s a larva of a wood boring beetle. It is characteristic of larvae of flatheaded wood borers of the family Buprestidae.

It's a desert-y type place. I'm in coastal Peru. Hoping someone could help out with the ID. I send a little video too because it's just the worst little larva.
