Christina, I'd not have worries for personnel or accessions if this product is applied according to label directions. But, what's the purpose of the application? What pests are you battling, and is a baseboard application of anything the best strategy? If pests are beneath/behind baseboards, a sustainable strategy might be to clean those spaces and lower the baseboards or permanently fill the gaps using a permanently flexible caulk. Note that you should test for lead and asbestos before taking such actions.
If you have hardwood floors, do not use a hard-setting product, or it'll cause damage as the floors expand and contract. Application of a residual insecticide might be a reasonable supplement to such modification, if the pests are likely to encounter the treated surfaces, and if it won't be mopped up by cleaning crews. -Rich Richard J.
