It's jumping spider webbing. Not to worry. Tom Parker -----Original Message----- From: Jessica Lian Pace <[email protected]> To: pestlist <[email protected]> Sent: Thu, Jul 18, 2019 11:17 am Subject: [pestlist] Question about webbing and cleaning
Hello everyone, One of our archivist found this webbing in a box of documents. Does anyone have any idea as to what types of insects might be behind this?Furthermore, for small collections of unbound materials (no nooks and crannies), I have just been vacuuming to remove frass, eggs, and other pest-related materials without freezing first (then rehousing). This should be sufficient, no? For bound materials we freeze first.I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Thank you!
