Correction: the figurine is not made of papier mache, but small hollowed-out gourds or seed pods coated in acrylic paint on the exterior.

Hello, A colleague found a pile of what we believe to be frass spilling out of the interior of a small, papier mache souvenir figurine acquired on a trip to Central America (non-collections). The workstation is not located in a collections space, but is adjacent to a loading dock and a short way down the hall from a facilities workshop. Would it be possible to hazard a guess at the source? The scale seen in image _02 is in millimeters. Thank you! Best, Ben Peery Registrar Charles M.
