I'd vote for cricket. They don't have a larval stage, so it could be a juvenile. And while they don't generally eat collection materials, they do make a nice meal for protein eating pests. We have had seasonal problems with field crickets, and once we got that under control our odd beetles started disappearing.
Unless you see more than the occasional one, I would just consider it a benign blunderer.
