Hi all, I am needing help in selecting a user friendly database, for pest management. The database would need to: support multiple users, and administrators, be used on desk top, and lab top. Right now we do not have tablets but there is talk of having that in the future. The database would also need to be user friendly as possible. It need to have where it could different building location our campus currently has four buildings that has exhibits and two of these house archives and collection storage. We also have other museums that are in different towns in the area. That could also benefit from using the database later. It would also help if the databased tracked humidity and temperature. It does not have to. Currently I use Excel but this time consuming and I have other duties. It is also difficult to track trends without looking at multiple sheets. I looked at MuseumPests.net for suggestions. ZpestTracker CollectionPests.com Major difference between the two other than prices is CollectionPests.com has map system where you can view locations and have specific map that can be edited. ZpestTracker does not note that it is able to do that. The third one that was on MuseumPests.net was EMu it does way more than just track pest. It is collections management system. Not sure we would use all of it features because we already have database for our collections. These were the only two that I found. With information about purchasing the database. The Powerpoint presentation "What's Inside the Building envelope? Bugs disused that used Microsoft Access they modified it to what they need. It showed they were able to track temperature and humidity but I have never used this program and all the programing would take time. Unless someone has done the work already. when I go to the site I only fine information on pest management no database.
Is their other database that help with tracking IPM?
