Two other beetles: #1 looks like a latridiid and #3 possibly a cryptophagid.

Beetle no. 2 is a rove beetle (Staphylinidae). They are mostly predatory and
live outside, but occasionally come indoors, particularly if the weather is
bad. No risk to the collections, except as food for other pests.

Subject: Pestlist beetle identification

To Pestlist,

Looking for help to identify an unknown beetle in Canberra, Australia. A small,
brown beetle; in the attached group photo I hope I am right in correctly
distinguishing it from 2 other small brown beetles (1) a minute brown scavenger
and (3) a hairy fungus beetle. It is beetle (2) I am having trouble
identifying. I have attached a separate photo of just this beetle. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Rose Cangadis-Douglass
