That is the drugstore beetle. The University of Florida has an excellent Extension bulletin on this pest.

Most of them are being seen on window sills. They aren't swarming all over the place, but they are definitely not difficult to find (average about 5-10 in each bedroom). The curator said a light is left on at night in one of the rooms- maybe this is attracting them? Windows and doors are always kept shut, but these are so small they can easily work their way inside through gaps ("scale" picture is on 1/4" graph paper). I am so hoping these aren't furniture beetles- or other types of wood boring beetles. Based on these photos, can anyone confidently confirm/rule out "furniture beetle", or confirm/rule out "drugstore beetle"?... Note* This house does have a kitchen, but no food is stored in the house. No signs of damage to wood (or any other materials) have been seen anywhere. If anyone has any opinions- I would be interested in hearing them. Thanks!
