I recommend that you look into Tom Strang’s work (Canadian Conservation
Institute). In one of his older articles “A Review of published Temperatures
for the Control of Peat insects in Museums”, Collection Forum 8, no. 2, 1992,
Pp 41-67. This article covers, among other thing, Temperatures and kill rates
for the majority Of museum insect pests.

Do a literature search onTom’s writings. That will give you the best
information. His research into thermal treatment is extremely thorough.

Also take a look at the CCI web site on pests. This will have additional
information.

Hi! Good afternoon.
I would like to ask the group if anyone knows of any bibliography or paper on
works to eliminate xylophages by freezer treatments but in small polychrome
sculpture.
The issue is that the institution where it is located, due to various problems
due to its geographical location and budget, does not have access to treatments
for anoxia but they have an industrial freezer.
Thank you very much!
