Hello Christian,
I can confirm what Stephan has said: they are regular guests in southern
Germany.
When I am visiting friends at their house (and garden) in Munic, Bavaria these
“Waldschaben” are all around and even regularly entering the house. But as it
is clear that they are just visitors nobody is getting into panic – but
bringing them out in the garden again.
Best wishes,
Antje

Betreff: [PestList] Help needed with Insect ID
Hello all,
I'm hoping for some assistance. We recognised this insect in one of our
cellar-level storage spaces today and have been unable to identify it (see
attached image).
I look forward to your answer.
Thank you very much.
Best wishes,
Christian
