*Polyxenus *(the Bristly Millipede) superficially looks very like a dermestid larva, but the bristles are thickened, not hair like (as in *Anthrenus*). *Thylodrias *(the Odd Beetle) larvae also have thickened bristles, but they lack the posterior bristle tufts typical of *Anthrenus *(and *Polyxenus*). It's worth taking the time to browse some images of these three genera, given that *Polyxenus *has a completely different diet to *Anthrenus *and *Thylodrias*. Tony
