Thank you, Tom & group, for the helpful feedback! I will be forwarding this
information about fans to our warehouse facility manager now. Very much
appreciated!

Best,
Morgan

Subject: [External] - Re: [PestList] Bird deterrents

Group -

The best prevention for birds flying into a warehouse through open loading dock
doors, are overhead door fans. These fans are a unit which is mounted
horizontally just above the exterior door frame. They are wired to a switch
that turns them on as soon as the door begins to open. They remain on while
the door is open and shut down when it closes. The blast of air these fans put
out will deter not only birds, but also raccoons, cats, and dogs.

Hello All!

We've recently been having issues with birds, mostly little sparrow types,
sneaking into one of our off-site storage locations. Netting has been installed
in the ceiling in several areas to aid in catching them once they get in, but
I'm interested in ways to prevent them from entering (likely through the
loading docks) to begin with. I was wondering if anyone has experience with the
different visual and audio/ sonic sound options that are out there, or if
they've tried anything else with success. Would also welcome any tips or tricks
to coax them out when/ if they get in!

Thank you!
