We have a one room heritage building, built in the mid 1800's of a squared log
construction. The exterior was covered with wood siding in the 1930's. There
are insect holes present throughout in the interior walls. There are signs of
an active insect infestation (powder post beetle), only in the lower half of a
small section of the south wall. I have consulted a local pest management
expert & plan to treat only the area where the active infestation is located.
Does it make sense to remove the siding & tar paper temporarily in order to
treat the exterior walls as well? Does anyone know of a Canadian supplier of
Bora-Care? I can only find Timbor and Pre-ser-vor cannot be used inside a
habitable building.
