I believe that the data describing sensitivity of insects to anoxia has been done at far less accurate levels. As in RH data logging for conservation, I suspect that we occasionally be using too many decimal points (just because we can). I've had discussionsl with conservators who have been concerned when noticing rh changes from 50% to 49.8% ! The technology to four decimal points may (or may not!) be accurate, but does it matter outside a specific laboratory experiment? There is an easier solution: Hanwell now makes a simple device called the Zero2. It is a small electronic device that indicates when oxygen levels are above or below 0.02% with a simple indicator light (red for above, green for below). It is far less expensive than an oxygen analyzer, and extremely easy to set up and use. These may be purchased in North America through Keepsafe Systems (www.keepsafe.ca). If you are setting up a permanent facility, the investment in a full oxygen analyzer may be appropriate. Be sure to shop carefully. Ageless Eyes are designed for use in food packaging. They must be purchased in carton quantities (by the hundreds), and kept in a refrigerator before use. Their shelf life when refrigerated is said to be six months. Ageless Eyes are extremely sensitive (oxygen, heat, light, pressure), and should not be reused. Mitsubishi has asked me to not sell them outside the food industry. In my own experience, they are not reliable unless used in a rigidly controlled system (eg, food packaging), and may lead to false indications. (In the food industry, packages are easily retested if the operator senses a malfunction of the indicator - this is less likely in a conservation setting.) js Jerry Shiner Keepsafe Microclimate Systems 800 683 4696 www.keepsafe.ca <http://www.keepsafe.ca/> [email protected] Specializing in the design, procurement, and installation of environmental control systems in museums and archives. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of derya gölpinar Sent: Thursday, August 23, 2012 8:45 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [pestlist] Oxygen concentration datalogger

Does anyone have any informations of information of oxygen concentration datalogger(until 0.001%) ? Sincerely yours J.S.
