Each time the current company introduces an update it seems to have an effect on our list and is just too much of an interruption. I will happen in the next hour (it’s 10:10am est here). (if you’re not interested in why, you can stop here.) I don’t exactly remember why we moved it 4 or 5 years ago, I think it was something to do with the digest mode – but I checked and we have nobody using the digest mode, so back we go. Also – as you may have seen in Pascal’s email – there was an update that dropped people from the list automatically. It was a “feature” to drop an account if their delivery bounced more 2 times. Bounces are a natural occurrence in email systems – most servers automatically retry every 15 minutes or the first hour so you never see the effect of it. But many of our subscribers got dropped. So – if you know anyone that was on the list and they are not getting emails again, please have them drop me a line and I’ll put them back in – only because it will take a day to get the self signup system going again.
